The updated second version of the Booklet on the history of River Street was launched at the Brechin Civic Trust,s public meeting held on Friday 31st May 2024 in the Mechanics Institute Brechin.

Prizes were wooden jigsaws of scenes of Brechin specially commissioned by the Brechin Civic Trust.
The Event was a great success –it was introduced by the Chairman Steve Dempsey and all those in attendance enjoyed an Excellent Talk from Ron Scrimgeour about Weaving in Angus and a Quiz about Brechin from David Robinson.

Brechin Civic Trust are hosting an event to mark their 50th Anniversary
The celebration event includes a Talk, a Quiz and Cheese and Wine and is to be hosted at 7 for 7.30 in the Mechanics Institute Friday 11th November 2022.
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Brechin Civic Trust are pleased to announce that;
